A locksmith company that dispatches from out of state has a lot of
unhappy customers all over the United States.
Local Locksmith-
They are licensed in
California and we got a complaint from a customer in Southern California
about exactly the tactics that are seen in the following videos from
news reports all over the country.

In Hawaii & Colorado, that state has made the company change its advertising: http://www.coloradoattorneygeneral.gov/departments/consumer_protection/consumer_protection_cases/run_local_locksmith_inc but apparently they are still using the same business model as seen in the Denver video.
Honest locksmiths don’t overcharge.
They don’t intimidate customers.
They don’t give unrealistically low prices over the phone.
They are professionally trained certified and in most states
licensed and will show you their license when they arrive to assist you.

My understanding is that there’s an enormous amount of money being spent by these FAKE scammer Locksmith's with the phone books and Google.
Does that make it difficult to stop?
You can’t pick up a book anywhere without them in it. One of the things I like to say in my ads is that we’re “Locally owned and operated.” Now these Fake scammer Locksmith's are saying it in their ads; “Locally owned and operated service here in Honolulu Hawaii within 15 minutes, $29.00.” They use an 800 number that I called and was referred to a number in Detroit, Mich.

These FAKE scammer LOCKSMITH"S aren’t paying taxes or other fees like the rest of us, are they?
That’s right; it’s the legitimate professional who is being victimized. We help run these office buildings; we pay payroll taxes, state taxes, federal taxes…..we pay everything! We’re paying through the nose. These guys here don’t pay a dime. With hardly any overhead, they have a phone bank someplace and all they do is drill and replace and pay nothing because it’s cash only.
